WHAT IS RHINARIS?
Rhinaris is a unique drug-free formulation that provides long-lasting relief from dry nasal passages. Rhinaris helps moisturize the nose and wash away thick secretions, to prevent or relieve dry, crusty or stuffy noses. Rhinaris products are safe to use in all patients, including young children and pregnant women.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN RHINARIS MIST AND OTHER SALINE PRODUCTS?
Rhinaris Nasal Gel and Mist contain only 0.2% sodium chloride (saline) and are formulated with polyethylene glycol (15%) and propylene glycol (20%). This ensures superior, long-lasting moisture and prevents the nasal passages from becoming dried out over time.

IS RHINARIS A MEDICATED PRODUCT?
No. Rhinaris is a non-medicated, water-based nasal moisturizer. It will not interact with other medications and is safe to use in all types of patients, including pregnant women and children.

  • Nosebleeds: Rhinaris helps minor nosebleeds by moisturizing nasal passages.
  • As conjunctive therapy with nasal corticosteroids: Rhinaris relieves the dryness and irritation caused by these drugs
  • For pregnant women: Rhinaris helps to prevent nasal crusting or irritation that often occurs during pregnancy.
  • For business travelers: Rhinaris relieves the dryness that occurs as a result of the dry air in hotels and airplane cabins.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF USING RHINARIS IN CONJUNCTION WITH NASAL CORTICOSTEROID THERAPY?
Rhinaris will hydrate and moisturize the nasal membrane, reducing the irritation and dryness caused by corticosteroid therapy. Thus, allowing for an increased absorption of the corticosteroid and potentially to a reduced need or dosage. To optimize the use of corticosteroids, use Rhinaris 5 minutes before administering the steroid in the morning and continue using Rhinaris as often as needed, up to 3-4 times daily.

CAN PETROLEUM JELLY BE USED INSTEAD OF RHINARIS TO SOOTHE DRY NOSE?
Petroleum jelly should not be used to treat nasal dryness. It may impede the function of the nose by immobilizing the cilia (small hairs that help the nose get rid of foreign material and clean the incoming air). If small particles of petroleum jelly are inhaled from the nose they may deposit in the lungs and lead to a condition called lipid pneumonia. Since Rhinaris is a water-based product there is no risk of either one of these mishaps occurring.

WILL RHINARIS CAUSE A REBOUND EFFECT?
No. Rhinaris is a non-medicated product and is not a decongestant. It merely moisturizes the nose and gently helps to wash away nasal mucous. As such, it does not cause the rebound effects of decongestants and is non-addictive. It is even gentle enough to use daily in all types of patients.

CAN ANYONE USE RHINARIS?
There are absolutely no contraindications to the use of Rhinaris, unless the patient is allergic or hypersensitive to one of its components. Rhinaris is the perfect product to relieve nasal dryness for pregnant women and for patients who suffer from hypertension, diabetes, glaucoma or prostate enlargement.

WHAT ARE THE SIDE EFFECTS OF RHINARIS?
Only patients who are hypersensitive to topical preparations containing propylene glycol should be cautious when using Rhinaris, as it may produce local irritation. No other side effects have been reported.

HOW DO I USE RHINARIS?
IN ADULTS:

Mist: 1-2 sprays of Rhinaris Mist should be administered in each nostril every 4 hours, or as needed.
